The inaugural GALOT Music Fest, a bluegrass, Americana & country music festival, will be held on June 6-8, 2014 at the GALOT Motorsports Park in Benson, North Carolina. In addition to lots of artist performances, the event will feature other types of entertainment, delicious food, camping and more!

GALOT Motorsports, an offshoot of the wildly successful diesel truck and tractor pulling “GALOT” team, is poised to take the drag racing world by storm. Owned by Mr. Earl Wells, the GALOT Motorsports team consists of Todd “King Tut” Tutterow’s Pro Modified ’67 Mustang GT500, Kevin Rivenbark’s Pro Mod ’67 Mustang GT500 and John Strickland’s Top Sportsman ’68 Pontiac Firebird.

Q.) When is the GALOT Music Fest?

A.) The GALOT Music Fest will take place June 6-8, 2014.
Gates open at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2013. Anyone entering the fairgrounds during this time must have a weekend pass or purchase one upon arrival.

Q.) Where is the GALOT Music Fest?

A.) The GALOT Music Fest will be held at the GALOT Motorsports Park located at 555 Drag Strip Road, Benson, NC 27504. For directions and more information, please click here.

Q.) How much is a ticket to the GALOT Music Fest? Do you offer refunds?

A.) Armbands will be put on your wrist at the gate prior to entry and shall be worn at ALL times. If you do not wear your armband, you will be charged the 3-day price of $90 or you will be asked to leave the grounds. Broken, cut or stretched armbands will not be honored or replaced.
No refunds will be given for any reason.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.

Q.) Is this event all ages and/or family-friendly?

A.) Yes, the GALOT team prides itself on running family-friendly events and children of all ages are welcome to attend!

Q.) Are pets allowed?

A.) Yes! But please note pets will not be permitted in the concert area and must be on a leash at all times when on the property. You must also clean up after your pets, as this will help us ensure a clean and safe environment for all attendees. We thank you for your cooperation.

Q.) Is alcohol permitted?

A.) Yes, alcohol is permitted on site, however NO GLASS bottles or containers will be allowed anywhere on the property. We ask that you please put your drinks in a cup or cover your can with a huggy/coozie/etc. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION PERMITTED ON SUNDAY.

Q.) Is smoking allowed?

A.) We have a strict NO SMOKING policy in the concert area. Please be respectful of your fellow music fans!

Q.) Are golf carts permitted?

A.) Yes. All golf carts & ATVs shall have lights on after dark, or park it at sunset. No Polaris Razors or 4-wheelers allowed. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult if driving a golf cart or UTV – no Exceptions!
All golf carts brought to the park must have proof of insurance. (Minimum $50,000 policy stating the specific golf cart to be ridden.)
No golf carts are allowed in the concert area.

Q.) Is camping allowed?

A.) Yes, however, all campers must be off the grounds by June 8 at 8:00 PM and all camping must be paid in full prior to hookup.
Rough camping (tent) is free with 2 day festival ticket (other camping rates are listed on the ticket/camping order form).
Campfires are permitted.
Only one car per campsite. Additional cars will be additional $5 per night plus applicable festival admission.

Q.) Will jamming be permitted?

A.) Yes, campground jamming may go on all night long!

Q.) What is the policy on dancing?

A.) Dancing is allowed inside event area on the dance floor only. No dancing in the audience.

Q.) What does “GALOT” stand for?

A.) “Get A Load of This” and “Get A Load Of That”, the names of two of the competition pulling tractors (Super Farm and Alcohol Super Stock, respectively) which helped launch the team to success.
